in 4 segments, with optical illusion pavement murals, a 200 sq. ft. concrete
turtle, and 4 baby turtle eggs (3 plumbed with spray showers), 5 realistic marine
creatures in high relief for pavement impressions, and 11 carved cedar totem
poles in Lenape Playground, Marine Park, Brooklyn.

Creative Director & Founding Partner, Multi-Media Masters, Inc. A film,
audio-visual and print production company which produced several independent
documentary films, including "Sandsong" and "Olympic
Village Journal" and has won numerous film industry awards.Co-executive
producer and artist of "Sandsong", a documentary film
about sand sculpture. Winner of the Blue Ribbon at the American
Film Festival and CINE Golden Eagle. Selected by American Library
Association as one of the year's best films in 1981.
1983: Author, sculptor, photographer, book designer and packager of Sandsong, Ephemeral Sculptures by G. Augustine
Lynas (St. Martin's Press).
This book contains 3,000 words of text and 109 photos, in black and white and
color, with captions.
1971-1991: Adjunct Professor, Pratt Institute, School of Art and Design.
Taught courses in Visual Communications, Graphic Design Studio Procedures and
Illustration. Currently tutoring privately and teaching enrichment programs
in public schools in NYC, Nassau and Westchester Counties.
1965-1968: Vice President / Art Director, The Lion Press, juvenile book publisher
in NYC. Responsible for book design, production, quality
control and promotional materials.1964-1965: Book Designer
/ Assistant Art Director, McGraw-Hill Book Co., Juvenile Book Division. Responsible
for nearly 300 titles, cover to cover. Designed educational games and aids, and some packaging and promotional
materials including catalogs and brochures and illustration.
1960-1965: Magazine / Book Designer, Meredith Publishing Co. Responsible
for layout and design of Better Homes and Gardens annuals, Cookbooks, Handyman
Book and others.
Formal Education:
BFA, Graphic Design, The Kansas City Art Institute, with minors
in Painting and Sculpture. Active in student government.
1964 Peace Corps training program for Turkey. Courses in Typographic Design at NYU Graduate School. Proficient in Quark XPress, Photoshop, Adobe
Illustrator, PageMaker, and most design and production software.
Personal:
Married,
three children, excellent health, interests include inventing, writing and playing
music, cycling and professional flying disc sports, including co-running two
national flying disc tournaments in NYC. Founder of the New
York Flying Disc Institute (NYFDI) for promotion of all flying disc sports.
